Wednesday, February 27th, 2008 DB2 Web Query for System i and Query Optimization Using Operations Navigator Speakers: Steve Fier & Doug Mack (IBM) IBM Announcements
|
|
Doug will be
presenting IBM DB2 Web Query for System i™, which offers a set of modernized tools for a
more robust, extensible and productive reporting solution than the popular
Query for iSeries (also known as Query/400) tool. DB2 Web Query for
System i preserves investments in the reports developed with Query/400 by
offering a choice of importing definitions into the new technology or
continuing to run existing Query/400 reports as is. Steve will be presenting Tips & Techniques for Query Optimization using
some functions built into Operations Navigator. This session is more
than the cursory overview that is being held around the country, it will be
more in-depth for sure. Learn more about this and hurry and register for this event and networking opportunities with your DVCUG friends. Steve Fier Steve Fier has been with IBM for 30 years as both a systems engineer and currently a System i sales specialist. Areas of expertise include Application Development, DB2 for i5 OS, Windows Integration and server consolidation. Doug Mack Doug's twenty-four year career with IBM spans many roles, including
System/ 38 and AS/ 400 microprocessor development, AS/ 400 Data Warehouse
Segment Manager for the Americas, Certified Software Sales specialist, and
as the DB2 UDB for iSeries Marketing Manager. Below is a link to a fireside chat that Doug held back in 2007 for DB2 Web Query: http://www.isociety.org/Chat20070815.html
