Carlos A. Aguado
Carlos A. Aguado is iCAP International’s Chairman and CEO, has worked in the software business for more than 25 years. He has a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. 
iCAP International was first founded as CAP Computer Consultants, Inc. in 1988. Over the next 17 years, Carlos provided information technology consulting and application development services to a wide variety of companies located in the Washington, DC technology corridor. Clients of CAP include: IBM, small, medium and large private and public companies and State and local agencies and municipalities. 
Prior to founding CAP, while living in Nicaragua, Carlos co-founded a software development and data processing company that became the largest IT outsourcing company in Nicaragua. An early ERP suite developed by that company was successfully implemented in more than a dozen wholesale distributors and textile plants in the early 1980's. 
At iCAP International, Mr. Aguado is also the chief architect and a collaborator and developer in the project whose product is known as XimpleTM.   Display grid

Bernard Bialt
Bernard Bialt is President of Cornerstone Business Systems, a local consulting firm providing solutions to clients on the IBM iSeries and Windows Platforms. Bernard started his career over 20 years ago developing applications on IBM System/36 and System/38 systems. He has worked with the IBM AS/400 and iSeries systems from their inception, and has developed numerous solutions utilizing Microsoft .com and .net languages as well. His company has assisted clients in utilizing the best of IBM and Microsoft technologies. Over the last several years, Bernard has focused on helping businesses to maximize their investment in these technologies through application modernization and software integration. Bernard has partnered with Peggy Pacella and M.A.P. Consulting Services, Inc. to produce iSeries and .NET solutions. M.A.P. Consulting is a business partner with ASNA and an IBM iSeries Development Business Partner.  Display grid

Mark Borash
Mark began his IBM career in February 1978, or two months after the S/34 was introduced. He's had a long-time technical career with the S/3X then AS/400 in Richmond/Virginia/Chesapeake supporting variety of industries. He dedicated multiple years supported Reynolds Metals who consolidated 40 S/3X boxes down to 2 AS/400s. He was a Solutions Specialist for Enterprise Applications for the eServer, then the Distribution Industry for the East. He supported the iSeries for Solutions in the Mid-Atlantic and Carolinas. He currently is the Lotus Products for iSeries Program Manager for the East Region for IBM Americas.  Display grid

Pat Botz
Pat has a varied support and development background from BASIC compilers, CAD/ CAM/ CAE, OS/ 2 WARP, to iSeries security. In addition to being the lead security architect for OS/400 and i5/OS until 2003, Pat's experience includes 12 years of UNIX software development and support. In 2003 Pat become the lead security architect for the IBM Virtualization Engine product. Pat co-authored a book with Carol Woodbury entitled "Experts Guide to OS/ 400 and i5/ OS security" and is widely published in trade press magazines. Pat recently joined the IBM Client Technology Center in Rochester where he leads a lab-based Security Architecture and Consulting services team.  Display grid

Jim Carty
Jim Carty is an independent consultant focused on helping clients achieve better business results from their use of Information Technology.
He has held a variety of positions in management, marketing, operations and software development. With a career that started on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs trading Government Securities, and includes numerous leadership roles in systems and technology, he has gained a unique perspective on the intersection of Finance and Technology and its impact on organizations.
His background includes consulting for PricewaterhouseCoopers advising the NASD on the merger of NASDAQ and the American Stock Exchange.
He has held Chief Information Officer positions focusing on E-Commerce, operations and organizational change. Most recently he was a Managing Director of Systems at PNC Financial Services.  Display grid

Andy Chung
Andy Chung is an IBM "Linux on iSeries" Consultant in Philadelphia. He was hired by IBM from Marist College, where IBM sponsored extensive Linux research and development. Andy has been focusing on server consolidation studies with an emphasis on Linux on iSeries. He is involved in helping customer design and develop Linux solutions on the iSeries and i5 platform.  Display grid

Jim Connor
James Connor Jr. is a .NET consultant with Cornerstone Business Systems and has has written programs in such languages as C++, Visual Basic, Pascal, RPG, ILE, Visual RPG, PHP, Javascript, and C#, and has developed rich client, web based, and AS/400 solutions for various clients in the Delaware Valley. James currently has a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Chemistry from East Carolina University.  Currently, he has been developing windows based and smart client applications utilizing the .net framework.
Jim has partnered with Peggy Pacella and M.A.P. Consulting Services, Inc. to produce iSeries and .NET solutions.  M.A.P. Consulting is a business partner with ASNA and an IBM iSeries Development Business Partner.    Display grid

John Earl
John Earl is vice president and chief technology officer for The PowerTech Group. John has more than 25 years of experience in iSeries and related IBM midrange security and has published numerous security related articles and columns for industry magazines. He has served as a COMMON U.S. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Security, frequently speaks at iSeries industry conferences and user groups, and is a three time winner of COMMON’s Speaker Excellence Award.  Display grid

Al Grega
WebSphere Program Manger for IBM eServer iSeries IBM Corporation
Al is responsible for managing the WebSphere product portfolio on the IBM eServer iSeries platform Worldwide. Prior to this position he was the Director of Product Marketing at LANSA USA for over two years, and before that an IBMer for over 24 years. He has experience in IBM systems development, services, marketing and sales. Al has also taught at the State University of New York at Farmingdale and is currently on the Conference Education Team for Web Application development at COMMON (www.common.org).  Display grid

Malcolm Haines
Malcolm Haines works on IBM eServer iSeries marketing in Somers, New York.
Malcolm has worked on the iSeries since long before its announcement, and on all of the predecessor Rochester systems. 
Frank Soltis, in his landmark book Fortess Rochester, refers to Malcolm as "one of the most creative people in IBM".
Malcolm speaks about IBM technology, about iSeries and about marketing at meetings all over the world.  Display grid

Darryl Johns
Darryl Johns is an iSeries and e-business consultant with IBM. He is a 20+ year veteran of IBM and has dedicated most of this career to the midrange and desktop technologies and was one of the pioneers in connecting these two.  Display grid

Brian Kelly
Brian Kelly retired as a 30-year IBM Midrange Senior Systems Engineer in 1999.  While with IBM, he was also a Certified Instructor and a Mid-Atlantic Area Designated Specialist.  Kelly takes pride in having announced the AS/400 (IBM's predecessor to the System i5) to IBM NE PA customers and potential customers at Marywood University in June, 1988.  Kelly formed Kelly Consulting in 1992 as an IT education and consulting firm. Kelly developed numerous AS/400 professional courses over the years. As an IBM business partner, Kelly provides his IT clients with a range of services from systems design and analysis to new i5 system evaluations and installations to migrations to special IT projects. 
He has written twenty-five books including eight books on WebSphere for iSeries.  His latest best-selling books are the The All Everything Machine and Chip Wars: Intel v. AMD; Intel v. IBM. Kelly has also written numerous magazine articles about current IT topics, including articles for The Four Hundred, Midrange Computing, Showcase, News/400, AS/400 Systems Management, AS/400 Internet Expert, and others.  He is a frequent speaker at the COMMON national Computer Users Group and he has been a featured speaker at numerous technical conferences and users group meetings across the U.S. 
Kelly has also developed and taught a number of college courses and is currently a member of the faculty at Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he teaches IT and Business courses and serves as the System i5 technical advisor to the IT faculty.  Display grid

Paul Lambert
Paul Lambert, a Coatesville, Pa native and a Graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, has been involved with the iSeries and its' predecessors since 1979.  He was among the first people outside of the Rochester Lab to be exposed to the S/38, the first iteration of the iSeries architecture.  Paul retired from IBM in 2000, and while employed at IBM, he held the positions of Programmer, Systems Engineer, Instructor, and Manager to name a few.  As a S/38 Instructor in Philadelphia, Paul taught over 3000 students over a 4 year period. Since leaving IBM, Paul has been involved in IT Consulting and iSeries Education.  He has taught extensively throughout the US and the Caribbean.  His specialties are in the area of iSeries application development (Tools, Languages "RPG IV, COBOL ILE, Java", WebSphere Administration) and the iSeries database (DB2 UDB).   Display grid

Mike Marlowe    
Mike Marlowe is an ASNA Windows and Web development trainer specializing in both .NET- and COM-based technologies.  For over five years, Mike has been instrumental in assisting with developing and deploying ASNA's training curriculum.  Mike also leads ASNA's pre-sales division.  As a pre-sales engineer, Mike is responsible for educating prospects on ASNA's technology message as well as assisting with conceptual application planning and development.  Display grid

Bob Morici
Bob Morici is a program manager working for the IBM Rochester lab. He has over 27 years in the IT industry. He has been a programmer, a Systems Engineer, a sales rep, and a business partner prior to his current assignment. Bob developed early versions of high availability software while he was a Systems Engineer working with customers in the casino industry. Bob has a BS and an MBA from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa.   Display grid

Ken Prager
Ken Prager is an Associate Partner in the Organization & Change Strategy practice of IBM’s Business Consulting Services.  He has a proven track record planning and executing organizational design and change activities in many different client environments – including a number of major technology or ERP implementations.  His key consulting skills are implementing complex change management strategies, coaching individual executives and managers to be effective change leaders, and helping clients analyze key organizational decisions.  Ken has over 30 years of experience in management consulting – 15 focused on organization change, organization design, and organization behavior, and earlier experience in IT consulting for business applications.  Mr. Prager is certified as a CMC (Certified Management Consultant) by the Institute of Management Consultants.

Timothy Pricket-Morgan
Timothy Prickett Morgan is President of Guild Companies Inc and Editor in Chief of its IT Jungle publications. 
He has been keeping a keen eye on the midrange system and server markets for 15 years, and was one of the founding editors of The Four Hundred, the industry's first subscription-based monthly newsletter devoted exclusively to the IBM AS/400 minicomputer, established in 1989.  For several years, he was the midrange industry analyst for Midrange Computing (now defunct), and its editor for Monday Morning iSeries Update, a weekly IBM midrange newsletter, and for Wednesday Windows Update, a weekly Windows enterprise server newsletter. 
For the past decade, Prickett Morgan has also performed in-depth market and technical studies on behalf of computer hardware and software vendors that helped them bring their products to the AS/400 market or move them beyond the IBM midrange into the computer market at large. 
Prickett Morgan has been a contributing editor to many industry magazines over the years, including BusinessWeek Newsletter for Information Executives, Infoperspectives, Business Strategy International, Computer Systems News, IBM System User, Midrange Computing, and Midrange Technology Showcase, among others.   Display grid

Clauss Weiss
Claus Weiss is an advisory software consultant with the iSeries Application Development Tools team at the IBM Canada Toronto Laboratory. He has an Industrial Engineer degree and a Computer Science degree from the University of Hamburg, Germany. 
Claus worked as a systems engineer with IBM Germany and joined the IBM Toronto Laboratory in 1984. He was a developer and team leader for System/ 38 development tools and has been a member of the Design Control Group for the AS/400 development tools. Claus has worked as a planner for iSeries Application Development for the past ten years specializing in Visual Tools. 
Claus is a frequent speaker at COMMON and other iSeries conferences. Claus is the lead author of the book, 'Understanding the IBM WebFacing tool', published by IBM Press, and co-author of several IBM Redbooks.

Vinu Thomas
Vinu Thomas is Chief Security Architect for Strategic Computer Solutions, an IT solution provider serving over 1500 customers in the Northeast. Vinu has over ten years experience in enterprise/network system design and implementation, information security, threat and vulnerability assessments and risk management. He has architected security solutions for Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPPA, and IRS compliance. With his extensive experience and expertise, Vinu has helped customers across multiple industries strike the needed balance between compliance, security, and IT costs. 

Vinu is a CISSP and an INFOSEC Professional as recognized by National Security Agency (NSA) and Center for National Security Studies (CNSS), and holds over 20 industry certifications from Cisco Systems, Symantec, Microsoft, IBM and HP.
