Aguado The presentation will consist of a power point show (Justin Tobia) followed by a Demo from Carlos Aquado, the designer and chief Architect of Ximple, who will describe the philosophy and intent behind Ximple. B3 - Powertech - John Earl Top Ten iSeries and AS/400 Security Exposures Too many of the "accepted" practices on the iSeries and AS/400 expose our data to unnecessary risk, costing companies insurmountable amounts of time and money when dealing with regulatory compliance and tougher audit requirements. This popular session details the top ten system configuration and work management risks that iSeries and AS/400s are exposed to and also explains how companies can ease the burden of compliance in their organization. The session outlines specific "bad" security practices, some common hacker exploits, and provides real-world examples of how to fix them. C3 - Strategic Computer Solutions - Vinu Thomas Using the i5 to help fight all the issues with security in the work environment. D3 - Quadrant Software, Inc - Our session will focus on key functional requirements: Backup and Recovery, Situational Backup Methods, Tape Management, Disk Protection, Business Recovery Management System, Disaster Recovery Documentation and Testing. Our training is beneficial for iSeries environments of all sizes. Information Systems staff supporting Disaster Recovery Planning are encouraged to attend. Management responsible for Business Continuity Planning welcomed! Joe Hainey and Mike Silvers, IBM Certified AS/400 Systems Expert, will lead the sessions. E3 - MKS - Julie Vaishnov Using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) to Support Your Modernization Initiative A key consideration on your iSeries application modernization journey is how these modernized applications are to be successfully deployed and supported in an ongoing and cost-effective fashion.
